Pricing & Payments
Custom software costs vary widely depending on complexity, features, and timeline. Simple websites start from £1,500–£5,000. Custom web applications typically range from £5,000–£50,000+. Our subscription model starts from £0 upfront with monthly payments from £50/month, making professional development accessible to all budgets.
We offer both fixed-price projects and our subscription model. For clearly-scoped projects, fixed pricing provides budget certainty. For ongoing development and product evolution, our monthly subscription model offers better flexibility.
No hidden fees, ever. Our quotes are fully inclusive of design, development, testing, and deployment. Third-party costs (hosting, domain, email, payment processing fees) are clearly itemised separately.
Yes — our subscription model spreads the cost of development over time. For larger fixed-price projects, we typically structure payments as deposit, milestone, and final payment.
All quoted prices exclude VAT. For UK VAT-registered clients, 20% VAT is applied to invoices.
We work in milestones with clear deliverables. You review and approve each stage before we proceed. If we haven't met agreed specifications, we fix it at no additional cost.
Development Process
A standard 5–10 page website takes 4–8 weeks from start to launch. Complex websites with custom features may take 8–16 weeks.
A focused MVP typically takes 8–16 weeks. Larger, more complex platforms may take 4–9 months. We use agile sprints to deliver usable software incrementally.
We use an agile approach with two-week sprints, regular demos, and continuous feedback. You have visibility of progress throughout, not just at the end.
Not at all. We translate technical requirements into plain English throughout the project. You don't need to understand code — you just need to understand your business requirements.
Yes — you have access to a staging environment throughout development so you can see and test the application as it's being built.
Some scope change is expected. Small changes are absorbed where possible. Larger changes are discussed, scoped, and quoted before work begins. We never add cost without your explicit approval.
Technology
Our primary stack is React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL for most web applications. We use AWS and Google Cloud for hosting. For mobile apps, React Native enables us to deploy to both iOS and Android from a single codebase.
We specialise in custom-coded websites and web applications rather than WordPress. Custom-coded sites are faster, more secure, and more flexible than WordPress.
Yes — all our websites and applications are fully responsive, tested on mobile, tablet, and desktop across all major browsers.
Yes — we have extensive experience integrating OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and other AI APIs into web applications.
We build React Native mobile apps that work on both iOS and Android from a single codebase. For highly performance-critical native apps, we'll be transparent about whether this meets your needs.
PostgreSQL is our primary database for most applications. We also use MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis depending on requirements.
Hosting & Infrastructure
By default, all data is hosted in UK/EU data centres (AWS London or Google Cloud Europe). This ensures GDPR compliance and data sovereignty.
Our cloud infrastructure targets 99.9% uptime. Production applications are hosted with auto-scaling, health checks, and automated failover.
On our subscription plans, hosting management is included — server maintenance, security updates, and monitoring are all handled by us. You focus on your business.
Yes — we can deploy to your preferred cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or managed hosting. We'll advise on the best setup for your requirements.
We have 24/7 monitoring with automated alerts. On Scale plan, we have a 12-hour emergency response SLA. We also implement automated recovery for common failure scenarios.
Security
Security is built in from day one: HTTPS everywhere, encrypted databases, secure authentication, input validation, rate limiting, and regular dependency updates. We follow OWASP security standards.
Yes — we build GDPR compliance into every application: lawful basis for data processing, data minimisation, right to erasure, data retention policies, and appropriate security measures.
Yes — penetration testing is available as an additional service. We recommend it for applications handling sensitive personal data or financial information.
We maintain automated dependency scanning in all our CI/CD pipelines. Critical security vulnerabilities are patched and deployed within 24 hours of disclosure.
All code is stored in private Git repositories with access controls. Client code and data is completely isolated from other clients. We can sign NDAs and data processing agreements.
Maintenance & Support
All plans include monthly maintenance: security updates, bug fixes, performance monitoring, and minor content changes. Scope varies by plan.
Starter: 48-hour response. Growth: 24-hour priority response. Scale: 12-hour emergency SLA.
Emergency infrastructure support is available 24/7 on Scale plan. Standard support operates during UK business hours (Mon–Fri 9am–6pm).
Yes — ongoing feature development is a core part of our subscription model. We manage a prioritised backlog and deliver new features in regular sprints.
You retain full access to your application and data. We'll provide a handover period and export all your data in standard formats.
Ownership & IP
On our Scale plan, full code ownership transfers to you. On Starter and Growth, you own your application and data, while the codebase is maintained by us as part of the service.
You own all your data, always. We never use, sell, or share your data. We act as a data processor under your instruction.
Yes — on Scale plan, you receive the full codebase and can take it elsewhere. We provide documentation to help any developer understand the architecture.
Yes — we're happy to sign NDAs before detailed discussions. Confidentiality is already embedded in our standard contract.
AI & Cloud
For the right use cases, absolutely. AI delivers the most value for: document processing, customer communication, data analysis, content generation, and pattern recognition in large datasets.
Simple AI integrations using existing APIs (GPT, Claude, Gemini) can be delivered for £3,000–£15,000. Custom model training and complex AI systems cost more. We'll always give you an honest assessment of ROI before recommending an AI solution.
We work with AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. We're platform-agnostic and will recommend the best platform for your specific requirements and budget.
Yes, when properly configured. We ensure UK/EU data residency, appropriate security controls, and comprehensive processing agreements.
SaaS (Software as a Service) means software delivered over the internet on a subscription basis — rather than software you buy and install. Examples include Salesforce, Slack, and Xero.
Getting Started
Submit an enquiry through our contact form or application form. Our team reviews every submission within 48 hours and will arrange a discovery call to understand your project.
We're selective about the projects we take on to ensure every client gets our full commitment and the highest quality. We review every application and only proceed where we're confident we can deliver exceptional results.
Yes — call or email us directly. We're happy to have an initial conversation about your project before you submit a formal application.
As much as you can tell us: what the software needs to do, who will use it, any systems it needs to integrate with, your timeline, and your budget range. The more context, the more accurate our quote.
Yes — we work with clients throughout the UK and internationally. Most of our work is delivered remotely with video calls and a shared project management platform.
Yes — we have clients in the US, Europe, and Middle East. We work remotely and adapt to your timezone for meetings and communication.
